Vitamin D3 belongs to the fat-soluble vitamins and is one of the most important forms of the entire vitamin D group. We take it mainly in animal foods such as fatty fish, beef, cod liver, egg yolks, but also in mushrooms. D3 is a form of vitamin D that contributes to the proper functioning of the immune system and maintains the health of teeth, bones and muscles. It plays an important role in the process of cell division.

We absorb vitamin D mainly from the sun (UVB sunlight). However, many of us do not spend enough time on it. Or it doesn't reach our skin to a sufficient extent, because of sunscreens. It is therefore advisable to receive D3 through dietary supplements.
